Hello.  This is my blog for recoding all the things that I learn whilst studying the module “Expressing Your Vision” as part of progressing to a degree in photography with the Open College Arts.

I work full time in an IT Consultancy and historically this has not really created an outlet for creativity that I have always wanted to have.  I have learned much of the technical side of photography through hands on practice and a lot of reading of the popular press.  But, after years, I still find myself wanting to develop my own style and a deeper understanding of the art and culture that is photography.

In studying this module, I am hoping to gain the first insights into just what my style is and how to reflect that in my portfolio of work.  I am looking forward to learning new things about the photography as art and beginning the journey of expressing my own vision.
